When working in an office, it’s usually a good idea to lock your screen when you get up to scratch that caffeine itch, however there doesn’t immediately appear to be a way to do this using OS X.
There is, however, but the feature is somewhat hidden.
Run the Keychain Access program in Applications/Utilities. Then, on it’s Preferences pane, under the General tab, select “Show Status in Menu Bar”. This will give you a padlock icon on the menu bar which will let you lock the screen.
